I love peonies. I wish I had a garden full of them. This Peony Garden dress by Maeve caught my eye when it came out a few years ago. I always have to wait for Anthro dresses to hit the second hand shops before I can afford them, but this one even went on sale to a price that I could afford first hand. The thing that held me back was the mixed reviews. A lot of buyers didn't care for the fabric and in the end, their grumbles were enough to convince me not to buy it. But, I didn't forget it. I watched the resale sites and saw it pop up occasionally for around $45-$60. It turned up on thredUp a few days ago for only $27 so I decided to put all those reviewers' complaints aside and buy the dress. I'm really happy with it and I wish I hadn't waited. It is the perfect dress for Easter morning, a wedding, or a spring brunch. I added this denim jacket to create a more casual look. The denim goes well with the purples and blues and the mint accents really bring out the purple too. I know this dress is going to get a lot of wear.
