The Dog Days

  Ah, yes, it's here--the Dog Days of summer.  Growing up I thought it meant that it was so hot outside that all the dogs just lay around panting and digging deeper holes in the dirt trying to stay cool.  What it actually means is that the Dog Star, also known as Sirius, is aligned with the sun.  This year it began Jul 3rd and runs until Aug 11th.  Of course, I love to celebrate a little tongue in cheek these unofficial holidays and what better way than with a dog print?
