Making a Home For My Lenox Spice Village

I know we're all about fashion on this blog, but what is a home if not another way to express your sense of style.  For two years now I have been renovating my home and after so many years of being constantly on the move and never being able to really decorate, I finally can take the time to make my home look the way I've always dreamed.  To that end, I have been choosing items to decorate my home so that everything looks ecclectic but cohesive.  When the Lenox Spice Village craze began a couple of years ago, I was all in to add this darling spice set to my home but completely unwilling to pay $1000 for a bunch of little jars.  Thankfully, Lenox heard our cries and re-released the village in the fall of 2024, in spring of 2025, and most recently again in summer 2025.  I missed the first release, but snagged my set the second time around.  Just like the original set, Lenox promised to release a rack that would adequately hold all 24 pieces.
My set arrived and I waited over two months for the rack to release to no avail.  Thankfully, I came across a fellow blogger who built her own rack and included detailed instructions and a list of items required.  Mr. Bleu, avid DIY-er that he is, tackled this task and did an amazing job!  And thanks to the instructions from At Home with Ashley  it was way easier than it would have been trying to go it alone.  I'm so happy with this little spice rack, I actually like it better than Lenox's version.  Ashley mentioned that if she had it to do all over again she would have used wood instead of MDF board because that stuff cracks easily and doesn't hold up well over time.  Taking that gem of advice, Mr. Bleu used oak that he cut and milled from our property and it turned out very sturdy indeed.
