I'm not great at jumping in when it comes to fashion. I'm getting better, but I tend to think about whether or not I want to buy something for so long that it either sells out or goes on sale. Sometimes that has saved me money, sometimes it's caused regret and long, feverish searches on resale sites. My reluctance to dive in is why I originally wanted to call my blog "Behind the Curve Fashions" but somehow or other, that title evokes thoughts of curvaceous bottoms rather than late to the game clothing styles, so I chose Bleu-Avenue instead.
What does any of this have to do with today's post? I am so glad you asked (or maybe you didn't but you're going to hear the answer anyway). I mention all this for two reasons: 1. my four year anniversary on blogger is coming up in just a few weeks and it has me looking back to how it all began, how it has progressed and changed and the direction I want my blog to take in the future. Secondly, this dress just arrived in the mail and it is a prime example of something I admired for a couple of years before finally taking the plunge. I'm glad there are places out there like The Other Sparrows which can carry a style for ages while people like me take their sweet time about deciding to buy. Slow and steady--The Other Sparrows totally gets me.
