I've definitely had my years where I felt like I'd given enough, tried enough, been through enough, and didn't need to take on any New Year's resolutions, so I don't judge when someone tells me they're opting-out of this tradition. But, I also have some years in which I'm excited to feel like I'm starting fresh and wanting to make some changes. This year I'm feeling the New Year's spirit but rather than making new declarations of change, I want to continue the progress on the resolutions I made last year. Specifically, I want to spend less money, get back to a regular fitness regimen, doing more cooking instead of having everyone fend for themselves, and keep working on making quiet time/ family time my top priorities. I wasn't perfect at any of it last year, and I don't expect to ever be perfect at any of them or anything else for that matter, but I am making progress and I really want to keep it up in this bright new year. If I do have a "new" resolutions, it is to return to my old favorite hobbies. All the things that have fallen by the wayside that I used to love so much, I'm ready to bring them back.
Whatever your resolutions are, or even if you choose to make none at all, I wish you the very best this year has to offer. Happy New Year!
