Eva Franco is a name I trust for beautiful dresses and I've been in love with this dress since day one. But, it wasn't the kind of "Wow! I must have this!" feeling that would get me to pay full price of $140. So, I calmly waited until it went on sale in December and paid only $50 instead. It then went on sale again yesterday for $42 and by today is completely sold out.
At first I was angry at myself for not waiting just a tad longer, but given how quickly it sold, I think it was worth it to pay the extra $10. As for the review of the dress, it's not quite as glowing as some of the reviews on ModCloth's site.
Pros: It is a wonderful design and great quality fabric, and figure flattering cut.
Cons: The straps are way, way too long, so it's going to take some adjusting to get the right fit. I'll probably have to cut an inch off each strap. I'm also going to have to take it in at the bodice as it is just a bit too baggy at the sides.
Overall, I think this dress is great for curves and has lots of flare. I do recommend this dress, especially if it pops up again at its sale price!
