I don't ride very far when I go out. Every second of gently coasting downhill is one more pedal push back up the hill.I prefer instead to just ride casually, taking my time, enjoying all the scenery even if it is mostly just a wall of green vegetation. Every now and then I catch a glimpse of a chipmunk or a bright wild flower, and of course my trusty dog goes with me at least part of the way before he gets distracted by some noise which he thanks must have been made by something that wanted to be chased. So, off he leaps, into the woods and he doesn't come back til he's had a good swim in the pond. By then he's ready to go home and so am I.
