Crop Top, Midi Skirt: ootd

Another new-to-me outfit that just sort of came together and the whole thing cost less than $60.  There were several things about this outfit that were out of my comfort zone in theory but when I put everything together, I really liked the result.  The first was the crop top.  I don't normally wear anything cropped; my personal preference is long tops that are only about four inches above my knee.  But this print looked so right with this skirt that I had to try it.  Since it's a midi skirt I knew I'd be pretty well covered.
The second thing that gave me pause was the mint green purse.  Warm red and pastel green aren't colors that I really think of as working well together, but since they are incorporated into the print, I thought I'd take a chance with the purse and...I think I like it.  I'm not sure it's a color combo I'll use very often, but I'm happy with it for this outfit.  The black jacket was just the finishing touch.  It's a neutral but the ruffles around the neckline give it a little feminine touch that I love.
I want to do a quick price breakdown for this outfit.  Top 6.50 + Skirt 24.00 + Purse 15.50 + Jacket 10.00 = $56 for the outfit.   Since I love ThredUp so much, I want to share the love and the savings.  If you've never tried ThredUp use this link to save $20 off your first purchase  http://www.thredup.com/r/WKVOY5

  1. I love how the jacket instantly takes it from "fun and pretty" to "sophisticated, fun and pretty!" Well done all around!
