Meteorite Ring, Shooting Star Print, Star Tree Topper from Etsy.com |
There was a meteor shower this past week and I was told that it was stunning. I didn't make it out to see it myself because I've been working like mad and usually fall asleep by 8:30 and also it's been blisteringly cold and I have no desire to stand outside and slowly succumb to frost bite while waiting for one of nature's marvels to pass my way. My little hilltop farm already has a stunning lights show on display every night and it never fails to fill me with awe when I look up for a moment on my way in the door. We're so far removed from city lights and city life that I can see more clearly there. Not just the Milky way and a billion other stars each night, but more clearly into my own heart, past the pain there to a hope and a future that are brighter.
On the subject of shooting stars, if had been able to keep my eyes open for the meteor shower, I have the perfect dress for the occasion. I bought the Emily and Fin Shooting Star Print Dress last year, at Christmastime as a matter of fact, and it's still available this year. (How often does that happen?!) I've worn it many times to work, always received compliments, and it still looks like new. You can take a look at last year's look here and there will definitely be more outfits to come with this dress.
