If there's one thing we all learned from Axel Rose it's that "nothing lasts forever." That goes for the bad things in life as well as the good. True, summer doesn't last, but winter doesn't either. Spring surely comes each year to lift my spirits again for a while before it gives way to winter once more. The idea that nothing lasts forever may sound a little bleak but it isn't really. Knowing that everything passes brings me that same spring-is-on-the-way sort of hope when I'm going through one of life's storms. It helps me to remember that this won't last and it also reminds me to savor each good season in life because it too shall pass.
