Angel With a Blue Dress On

Royal Blue isn't exactly a traditional holiday color, but my, oh my, do I ever love it.  Pair that pretty hue with an even prettier vintage style dress and it's the perfect party style.

For today's outfit, I'm going full vintage glam with hat, gloves, and pearls.  If this isn't the time of year to pull out all the stops on glam, I don't know when is.  

Besides, wearing something beautiful is a gift I give myself.  I work hard the rest of the year, now it's time to indulge a little.

So, let's talk about this dress!  The first thing to love is the great vintage style.  With the collared neck and buttons down the front, it's definitely a nod to those styles of my favorite fashion eras, the 1950s and 1960s.

Another thing that I personally love about this dress is that it's 95% cotton!  Easy to wash, easy to iron, very breathable so you can wear it all year round in comfort.

This dress features a zipper down the back and the swing skirt is full enough you could wear a petticoat to give it a little more fullness and flounce.

I ordered my usual size XS and it fits true to size, so order with confidence.  The waist is just at the right height so that it accents the narrowest part of my waist and because it's cotton, the wrinkles iron out in just a couple of minutes.  So easy.

You could style this dress any number of ways, and keep checking back with me to see future outfits with this dress, but for now, I had to indulge my love of vintage glam.
