Starstruck

I swear it's like KarinaDresses can read my mind!  Just when I'm crushing on velvet they release their holiday line of stunning velvet dresses.  When I'm over the moon for star prints along comes this gorgeous Nora Dress in Starstruck print.
Something I haven't really addressed in my posts deserve a mention for this particular dress.  It occasionally happens when you have a dress with a very dark print in black or navy that the dress can fade or the colors can bleed.  It's happened to me more than once over the years and it's so disappointing, but that's never been a concern with a Karina dress.
I so appreciate the high quality of these dresses.  When you have a stunning star print like this, you want it to stay crisp and clear.  I've already worn and washed this particular dress a couple of times and it looks just as lovely as the day I got it.
Karina's new line is perfect for that very special day coming up, Valentine's Day of course.  I'm all in for red dresses and heart prints, but I also love to take the unconventional route and I think a star print is just the ticket.
This dress is really an all occasions dress, something I can wear year round.  I don't often layer tops under dresses, but I was feeling a little playful today (and in case you can't tell it's a little frosty outside) so I decided to layer this dress with a sheer pink mock turtle neck.
I didn't expect to like it, but I really do.  Since taking these photos, I've worn this dress both ways, with and without the extra layer.  In a couple of weeks, I'll show you this style without the layering, because it really looks perfect either way.
But, for now, these photos looked so lovely on this snowy morning that I decided to lead with them.  And by the way, did I mention the Nora dress has pockets!  I can't imagine how I ever got along before dresses had pockets.
Another great detail about the Starstruck Nora dress that I want to highlight is the lovely little v in the back of the neck.  Just another of those extra touches that makes this dress so special.
To accessorize this outfit, I opted for chunky diamond rings, and layered necklaces with a moon and stars theme.
And perhaps my favorite accessory of all was this novelty camera purse in silver.  It think it nicely highlights the star print.
More Karina goodness is on the way soon, so keep checking the blog for my next collaboration with KarinaDresses.com.
