In some ways it feels like normalcy has returned to much of life and I never thought I'd be so glad to do all the regular things but I am. This year, the holidays have been extra busy and it feels like its all to compensate for last year, but you won't hear me complaining. Quite the contrary I've accepted every invitation.
That's right. I am normally selective or a little grudging if our schedule gets too full, but not this year. If there's one thing I've learned from all this it's that things like "normal" and "routine" are rather fragile and should never be taken for granted. So, this year I've said yes to every dinner, every party, every musical, every family member and home and I am going with a smile on my face and a grateful heart.
I'll try like crazy to post all the holiday dresses this year, but time has really been getting away from me. I thought today would be the best time to post one of my absolute favorites which is this 1950s V-Neck Adjustable Bowknot Swing Cocktail Dress-$34.99 from GownTown Vintage
A basic green dress with the full skirt and vintage elements of the bowknots at the shoulders works all year round, but all some red and/or white accents and suddenly you have a holiday party dress.
One things I particularly love about this style is that I can go head-to-toe legit vintage with undergarments and a petticoat. There's something about it that makes an outfit even more special and special is what is called for at this time of year above all others. So, as we welcome the holidays, I wish that yours will be merry and bright.
