To Audrey, With Love

If I had to choose just one person who has truly influenced my style it would be Audrey Hepburn.  From the first time I saw the cover to for Breakfast at Tiffany's  I was smitten.  The more of her films I saw, the more I loved everything about her, not just her style but her gracefulness and poise as well.
Today's post is a little tribute to Ms. Hepburn to commemorate the summer when I first saw Breakfast at Tiffany's exactly 20 years ago and also to celebrate my new partnership with Haoduoyi.  They're a company I just discovered and am very excited to work with.  This is my first purchase with them and I decided to take this lovely 50s style dress to the library to recreate the scene where Fred discovers Holly Go-Lightly studying up on Brazil since she intends to marry Jose DaSilva-Perrera.
There aren't that many touching cinema moments that take place in a library, but I think there should definitely be more.  Such a quiet, thoughtful place of discovery and reflection.  I'm surprised more lives and loves don't begin and end there..beyond those between the sheets of paper that is.
Dress Review:  This dress is well made of heavy fabric.   ordered it in a size Small as the website suggested that customers size up one size.  I normally wear a size 0 and this fit like a 2 or 4 in my opinion.  So it was a bit loose, but fit fairly well.  Just a size down would have been perfect, but unfortunately this was the smallest size available.  The skirt is lined, ironing was a cinch, and it didn't wrinkle up again as I wore it throughout the day.  A great dress and for less than $20.
