Have I mentioned how much I love EShakti? They offer a huge selection sizes from 0-6X, tons of gorgeous and flattering styles and all at very reasonable prices, and, the thing I love the most, they let you customize your order! Recently I decided after a year or so of admiring their clothes to take the plunge and order something. I order two dresses: one was straight from the store with no adjustments, the other was this ivory chiffon with star and moon print called the Day Sky Georgette Empire Maxi Dress. Had I ordered straight from the shop, this is what it would have looked like:
As much as I loved the fabric and the style for that matter, I knew that this particular cut wouldn't be very flattering on me. So, I had the neckline raised for a little modesty and the hemline raised to the most flattering length for my height and shape. I also had the option to change the sleeves, remove the pockets, and move the zipper, but I was happy with all of those and left them as they were.
I was a little nervous customizing, but the great news is that my customized dress fit perfectly and I absolutely adore it. It's been through two washes and still looks perfect. As for the style, it's modern with a decidedly retro feel to it and I love that by customizing I got something unique. I added some chunky pearl strands and tan flats for a casual Sunday look.
