Ok, so I may or may not have taken it way too far with the photo editing today, but how else am I suppose to get those beachy vibes that this outfit deserves in the deadest dead of winter. Like so dead it's becoming undead.
This is the most stressful time of year for me for some reason. The holidays are over and now it's just the cold and the wait. I still get asked to do photos for some brands and it's tough to find beautiful locations when everywhere I look it's all dead plants, gray skies, and bleak empty streets. Add to that the fact that I somehow manage to avoid getting sick for most of the winter, but it's always here at the end that I come down with something. Eeesh.
By the way, that's just what happened. I took these photos last weekend, but I'm writing this post from the comfort of the couch, watching re-runs of Fraiser, and sipping hot broth from a bowl with a handle. It's nothing serious, just a little cold, but it makes me just that much more anxious for spring and sunshine.
So, I'm doing a little dreaming and wishful thinking with this post. I look out the window and see the inches upon inches of snow, and I look back here and the balloons and the sunflowers seem to make it all a little better.
Maybe that's why we bring balloons and flowers to people who are feeling unwell. Personally, if you're looking to get me something, I'd prefer a tasteful two-piece and couple of weeks in the Caribbean.
In the meantime, I'll be here on the couch, taking naps, and making pictures that are all about that sunshine and seaside.
