Summer R&R

Summer's around the corner and I am fully prepared for some R&R this year.  I happen to have a huge and beautiful forest for a backyard.  Last year we spent every Monday for three months collecting huge stones from around the property and building a stone patio complete with fire pit.  By the time we finished it was too cold to really enjoy it, but we did spend the summer taking frequent naps in our hammocks.  This year the hammocks are back and all the plants I bought at end-of-summer closeout sales survived winter in my house, plus I've been looking for a cute little bistro set for the past two years and finally found this one at a very reasonable price.  It was originally a nice rose copper color, but I painted it white so it wouldn't be camouflaged against all the earth and trees.  Also, I've always dreamed of having a little white bistro set in a garden.  As far as the garden part of that dream, I have been give a lilac shoot from the ones my grandmother used to grow and have planted it nearby with the hopes that all this spring rain will help it to thrive here.  And my flowers from last year have returned along with the sprouts of the new seeds I've planted this year, so my little dream may come true in another year or two.  In the meantime I'm happy and feeling more relaxed already in my little backyard vacation spot.  So, while I may not make it to the beach this year, R&R is definitely on the agenda and KarinaDresses' Day at the Beach Collection is helping me look pretty fab while I chill.
