At some point in our lives, and typically more often than we plan on, we have somewhere to go where we need to look nice. It can be stressful to find the right piece for the right occasion, especially when the invitation comes last minute. To save on stress, why not invest in a singly piece of clothing that can be worn to an array of events and occasions and look great no matter what the dress code. A jumpsuit can easily fit the bill. Before February of this year, I'd never worn a jumpsuit. (see the post for that jumpsuit here) I didn't think its shape would look good on my shape. I found one that I liked from FemmeLuxe and ended up liking it so much that I now own several. In addition to having some really great dresses FemmeLuxe has lots of other trendy and chic pieces. I really love all the jumpsuits at FemmeLuxe. They have a wide variety of styles and colors to chose from. My favorite so far is this Black Belted One Shoulder jumpsuit in Evelyn. It is the most versatile of all the jumpsuits I've tried so far. With an item like this, I'm all set for every occasion that comes along, but here are a few examples of places I'll be wearing this jumpsuit this year.
1. Graduation & Special Ceremonies
Maybe it's you, maybe it is a loved one or a friend, but May is the month for graduations, dinners honoring someone important, and formal dinners of every kind. Typically for events such as this one should expect to run the gambit from classy all the way to semi-formal. No matter where the event you'll be attending falls on the dress-up scale, this jumpsuit has you covered. Black is always considered a formal event color and this impeccable fit and style has class written all over it.
Date night, especially if you've been in a relationship with someone for a long time, and even more especially when you throw kids and demanding jobs into the mix--or maybe it's jobs and demanding kids--- Things can begin to get pretty casual. Finding the time to be alone together can be so difficult that after a while it falls by the wayside. It happens, but it's important every now and then to put in the extra effort. Go to a nice restaurant and wear your best, maybe even arrange to meet at the restaurant so that you won't see each other until you're all dolled up. But just because you're dressing up that doesn't mean you can't still be comfortable. The evenings can be chilly this time of year and this jumpsuit will is airy enough to keep you cool if the evening is warm but thick enough that you won't need a jacket as the night progresses. With its one shoulder neckline this jumpsuit looks extra dressy, but it's made of a wonderful stretchy fabric so it's totally comfortable. Know what that means? You don't have to skip dessert.
3. Weddings
June is on the way and with it comes wedding season. Last year my summer started out completely booked with weddings...actually only three and then at the last minute they all either eloped, decided on a destination wedding, or broke up. I didn't take it personally of course, but I am looking forward to going to a few weddings this year because it's always such a joy to share in that special day. But, finding the right outfit for a wedding can be challenging to the point of being a little joyless if we stress too much. If you're one of those fashion lovers (or just everyone in general) who automatically thinks wedding = must wear dress, consider changing that equation. Jumpsuits are easy and casual feeling and yet a nice jumpsuit can look really great at a dressy event. Because so many of us don't think outside the box on this one, wearing a jumpsuit to a wedding or other black tie event is sure to make you stand out in the crowd--not to take too much attention away from the bride, c'mon it's her special day, but if it happens it happens, right?
