In the Highlands

I remember my girlish dreams of visiting Scotland and seeing the beautiful highlands. I've been very blessed to visit those hills and be among those interesting people who live there. It leaves a mark, an opportunity like that, but in the best possible way. I'm changed for the better for having had a dream come true and have it be everything I'd hoped it would. This part of the US that I now call home was settled by many immigrants from Scotland and Ireland. I think they came here and saw these hills and all at once they felt at home. Funny, I feel the same each time I look at them.
