This is the time of year, the bleak mid-winter, when the holidays are over and the bustle of preparation, the hopeful anticipation of seeing friends and family has gone. The sparkle of silver and gold and the warmth of red and green decorations has gone too and the world just looks a little more dreary without it. I always bring out my cheeriest prints and warmest shades for this season. I also like to save some indoors-y creative projects for January through March to keep my mind positive and active. Last year it was sewing projects, I finished around a dozen dresses and skirts...I think, this year I'll do a little sewing as well, but I'd like to do a few more things as well. Hopefully I can start posting things soon and maybe inspire you to start your own winter tradition to beat the winter blues.
