Aloha Dreams

I've adored Mexican Wedding dresses ever since I was a little girl.  This one is the only one that I own and probably my first splurge as far as dresses go.  I saw it on Etsy around 2007, waaaaaay before I ever heard of ModCloth, and decided it was the loveliest dress I'd ever seen.  So I spent a whopping $65 on it.  It's short and sweet...maybe a little shorter than sweeter...and a little too revealing to be worn often.  It's vintage, so I also live in dread of tearing it up since I've never seen an embroidered dress as lovely.  So, this dress spends most of its time neatly folded in a low humidity box.  But, I brought it out to wear on this ultra humid summer day among the Rose of Sharon for a little impromptu picnic and Ukulele time.  It's nice to look back on those days and dream while I'm shivering in the snow.
