Spring Gives Way

Well, it seems as though the spring flowers are behind us now and summer is unfurling her glory.  The season is changing, as seasons are prone to do, and this is one change I don't mind.  Yes, it's hot in the summer, but there are so many great things to do.  I, for one, can't wait.  Bring on the sunshine!
Are you the type of person who dreads change?  There's a stigma attached to that sort.  If you don't like it when the world suddenly stands on its head, you get labeled as timid, boring, rigid, prudish, etc.  Why do you think that is?  Personally, I think it's because the loudest voices in the world right now are those of ignorant fools.  I'm not sorry to say that, only sorry it's true.
While it is a fact that some people are indeed fearful of change, any and all change, that fear is usually based on experience.  Living life for a while, and learning from your experiences will teach intelligent people to approach change with caution.
Not all change is good.  Not all change is bad.  But rather all change has some good and some bad elements to it.  The trick is to discover whether or not the positives outweigh the negatives.  Then you can decided if you want to make the change or not, rather than just diving in, hoping for the best, because, well, you don't want to seem boring.  How silly, don't be manipulated like that by people who have no sense.
And then, of course, there are some changes that we can't choose.  They, like the seasons, happen in spite of our preferences and wishes.  In that case, it is best to deal with it all with a measure of acceptance.  Prepare for the negatives in order to ease that discomfort, and focus as much as possible on the beneficial things, the things you enjoy.

Don't let the negative ruin it, and don't be blinded by the positives i.e. In summer time, I hate the insects and more specifically the itchy bites, but I love to take picnics.  So, I plan as many picnics as my family can bear and bring some bug spray and citronella candles along.
So, yes, spring is giving way to summer, and things are changing everyday.  Keep your expectations realistic.  Enjoy the ride, but don't be surprised when there are bumps in the road and in this way, life becomes overwhelmingly enjoyable.
