Ivy City ISO's: The Pink Stripe Cupcake Dress

Easter was on the way and this pretty dress popped up at Ivy City Co.  as a part of their newest collection.  There were several that I admired, but this one really caught my eye.  Sadly, it was not to be because I was on a bit of a spending freeze at the time, so had to let it go.  It very quickly sold out and I felt a twinge of regret over missing out.
Ivy City Co. is one of those companies that really listens to its customers, so when the fans cried out for a restock, ICC listened.  I thought I would be able to swing it that time, but sadly, once again, the funds just weren't there.  And, once again, my size and most others sold out.
I then proceeded to do what any reasonable dress lover in the modern age does, I obsessively stalked the website waiting for a restock and combed through the thrift sites searching for a resale bargain.  Easter came and went and I already had a dress for that holiday, so I was content to watch and wait.
Lo and behold, a few sizes, mine included, spontaneously restocked, adn this time I did have a little savings set aside so I deicded to grab this pretty dress before I missed out forever, and I am glad I did, because I think I would have regretted not getting this dress.

Since this was the only one that restocked, it was most likely a post-holiday return, but since ICC has those prominent tags at the waist, I felt sure that it was likely tried on briefly not worn all day, so I'm ok with that.
Just a quick review of this Pink Stripe Cupcake Dress: It has a full skirt, fitted waist, the perfect neckline, and pockets!  It also has several layers of stiff tulle to create the fullness in the skirt.  The print is a thin stripe in a lovely shade of pink.
I will say that I had a really tough time getting the packaging wrinkles out.  I steamed and ironed and nothing really worked, so I don't know what my next step should be, but for the moment, the creases weren't bad enough that I couldn't wear this dress for a quick photo shoot.
I'm glad this dress came back around one final time so that I could finally get it.  It is a lovely blend of balleria and June Cleaver.
