I'm glad all the Barbie hating hype has died down, because I loved Barbie and yes, she gave me some body insecurities, but she also taught me that I can be a mother--and look fabulous, a ballerina--and look fabulous, an astronaut--and look fabulous, and or a veterinarian--And. Look. Fabulous! And now she comes in all shapes and heights, and guess what. She Still Looks Fabulous! If that's not a positive message, I don't know what is.
