Mewseum Visit Cat Portrait Dress by Retrolicious from ModCloth
Today's post will be in honor of my little cat, Me-Mow.  Yes, that's right, Me-Mow, who is also called Clementine when she's being sweet and cuddly, is named for the adorable cat/assassin from Adventure Time.
Like her namesake, Me-mow may look cute, but she'll tear your hand clean off when she's in a mood.  Look at her, so vicious!
Me-Mow was a little orphan cat that we adopted.  She was barely old enough to be away from her mother and decided to try to make our cranky old house cat fill that role.  Cranky cat would have none of her.  And so Me-Mow has to be content with sneaking up on her when she's sleeping and laying down as close to her as possible.
We're all more than willing to give her a cuddle when she wants, but as seems to be the case with most cats, she's only interested in the one least interested in her.
You may remember this Mewseum dress from ModCloth.  I didn't get it when it came out, but I did manage to track it down on a resale site for a bargain and ever since then I've been busily coming up with new ways of styling it.
I have a few outfit ideas in mind, but right out of the chute, I really love the way the yellow top and shoes make the colors stand out.  And the plaid texture on the tights gives the outfit that extra kick of visual interest.
Me-Mow may never really appreciate the home we've given her; she may in the end succeed in ripping one of our hands off.  And, she will definitely never appreciate the fashion homage to cat-kind, but oh well.  She's still pretty cute...when she's sleeping.
