Celebrity Polka Dot Dress Red and White Stop Staring

Today's post isn't exactly a theme outfit devoted to the Disney princess, rather it is a collection of items that remind me the stories of Snow White and Rose Red. A red and white polka dot dress, white heels and pearls, roses, and a novelty apple bag--it all seemed rather like a storybook theme although walking down the street I don't think anyone else would make that connection.

I look forward to all these wild roses blooming each summer. I see them growing along roadside fences and old home sites. Their colors are so bright and the scent is so sweet.

I confess I have been watching this particular rose bush for the last few weeks waiting for the day when these flowers were at their peak so I come take some photos here. I've been combing through my closet looking for just the right dresses to photograph here too.

Stop Staring makes beautiful dresses inspired by the very best of vintage styles. Normally for a form fitting dress from Stop Staring, I size up one size, but this time I opted for my actual size and waited apprehensively for the day it arrived and I tried it on.

I didn't really notice any difference between the fit of this dress and the other celebrity dress I own in teal. That was a relief because these red and white polka dots are such a stand out print I'm so excited to wear this for summer.

I accessorized with white peep toe pumps, pearls, and white sunglasses. I had intended to use this apple bad with my outfit, but the shipping was delayed and I didn't want to miss these flowers in their peak week.

I've been using novelty bags a lot this year. I just love they way they make an outfit so unique. Suddenly a great dress shines with that standout accessory.

The bag is really great though, so I will have to do another set of pics with this dress and the purse in the near future and post them here so you can see how a novelty bag can really kick up the overall vibe of an outfit.
