Junior Space Cadet

My silly attempt at a sci-fi/fantasy novel-esque cover, I love fashion and putting together outfits, that much is a given, but I love it all the more when a really fun outfit outfit comes together exactly as I had imagined.
Another unicorn dress, this Space Cadet dress by Rock Steady, was so unique that I jumped at the chance to add it to my collection.  Then I saw these very unique, dare I say other worldly looking tights and the idea began to grow.  But, when I stumbled upon this ray gun crossbody bag, I knew this combo had. to. be.  End of story.  Making it happen.
Even if it involved buying two of these dresses second hand in the hopes that one of them would make it to me.  And, yes, as it turned out only one of them did make it, because a lot of people list their clothes for sale and then forget about them.  But, at least I was able to get one.  This dress is getting harder and harder to find.
I get excited about putting together outfits like this, more than excited, I start riding high on waves of creativity and I get extremely disappointed when it doesn't work out.  Fortunately, every single thing came together to create exactly the way I had been dreaming and planning and I could not love this outfit more.
I really do adore this dress and I wish Rock Steady would bring this one and the similar circus print dress back into circulation.  Companies should hold onto their really dynamic designs.  I feel so strongly about it, I'm considering writing to the company and asking them to consider it.
My personal campaign aside, there's something about a novelty bag that gives an outfit a really complete look with attention to detail and really grabs people's attention.  I own........more than I should, perhaps, but with so many novelty prints in my wardrobe it stands to reason I would need a lot of novelty bags to accompany them.

And these tights!  I wasn't looking for them really, but when I saw them, they were so space cadet futuristic I couldn't believe my good luck to find something so unusual to complete my sci-fi outfit.

This morning, I was up before the sun...on a Sunday...it was kind of hell...but it was also kind of nice.  Even though it was early, the streets were quiet but not too quiet like they have been for the past few months. (talk about feeling like there's been some kind of alien invasion, try walking through an empty city!) And it was nice to see the hustle and bustle returning to this city.  I hope where ever you are some normalcy is returning to your life and that you are staying well and safe.  In other words, Live Long and Prosper.
