Seller's Remorse is Real

We've all had our moments when we either need fast cash or we need to declutter and we make the decision to sell something that we later regretThis dress falls into both those categories.
I frequently get asked about dupe dresses and after so many try-ons and reviews, my general opinion about all of them is this:  If you take them as inexpensive, stand alone dresses, they're not too bad.  But, when you hold them up next to the original, they're never going to measure up.
As far as dupes go, this dress wasn't really very close to the original, which was the Floral Dreams dress from Teuta Matoshi.  In a side by side comparison it was inferior in quality and fit.  The bust being the most awful part of all even though I gave the seller detailed measurements.  But also as far as dupes go, this one was one of my favorites.
The fact is that it is quite a pretty dress and with some tailoring it could have been a stunning wedding gown or photos dress.  But, I wanted space in my closet and cash in my hand because I had my eye on another pretty dress and so I sold this dress.  Now I regret it.
I suppose I could save up and buy it again, but the price has gone up since last year and I don't know if it would be worth it to pay more for this dress a second time and then to pay to have  it tailored.  But, every time I see these photos I can't help but think how amazing my daughters would look in this dress one day at their weddings or proms and I wish I had it back again.
I suppose I'll have to give it some thought.  I've seen many others on the resale sites lamenting a sale they've made and desperately trying to get that dress back.  I've also been that person once or twice.  For the most part, when it comes to seller's remorse, I think it's better to just let it go and move on to something else and then, when you do find something really, really, really special, hang onto it even if it takes up space and it's totally impractical.
