Witch's Brew

Yes, yes, it's time to bring out more of the Halloween prints!  As much as I wanted to start this post with a quote from the witches in Macbeth--foul is fair and what not--to kick off this post featuring this Witch's Brew Skirt, I couldn't figure out a way to tie everything together, so I'll save the highbrow quotes for another day.
I can't believe how quickly this month passes.  By the way, this is the reason why people skip Thanksgiving and start putting up their Christmas decorations in November.  A month just isn't long enough to enjoy all the work you've put into your costume, wardrobe, and decorating your home.
I intend to put this skirt on a weekly rotation with my other Retrolicious Halloween find so that I get the maximum amount of wear out of them this year.  They're just too pretty to stay on the shelf until next year.
This one of those rare occasions where I didn't really do much of the styling myself.  Honestly, I saw the way Modern Millie styled it and loved it so I bought the skirt and the cardi from them and provided the rest from my wardrobe.  It's not something I usually do, but when someone comes up with a really excellent style, it's ok to copy.
I love print mixing, but I admit that I probably never would have thought to combine a Halloween print like this with a---what shall we call this, snow leopard?--a snow leopard print cardigan, but here we are and I think it looks fantastic.
Earlier this week I talked about the influence others have on us.  That doesn't always have to be negative.  It's funny how when we surround ourselves with people we admire and challenge ourselves to try new this we learn things, we grow, and we can get ideas we would never have come up with on our own that take us in whole new directions.
I love being around like-minded people who totally get me, but I also love it when someone comes along who is my total opposite and they show me a new way to look at things.  I guess I'd say that's pretty magical.  BOOM!  Tied it all together with magic in the end!!  And now I'm done.  Tomorrow's post has more Karina goodness on the way.  You don't want to miss it. (Ok, now I'm actually done 😁)
