Decking The Halls

Hell Bunny Candy Cane Christmas Shirt Blouse Top
It's time to get out the Christmas stuff.  Thanksgiving is long gone and December is here.  And, hey, remember that post I did a few days ago about turning over the decorating responsibilities to my daughters?  Well, that didn't work out at all.  I ended up getting the day off.  Sooooooo, I had to lend a hand.

Since there was no way around it, I duly climbed over and squeezed between all the stacks of things in our garage to retrieve the decorations which always start out at the front in January and have worked their way to very back corner by December when we need them.
Each year I expect to be bitten by a poisonous spider or get snagged on rusty metal and have to get a tetanus shot, but so far I've escaped unmaimed.  For the past few years I've had to work on our decoration day and that was fine with me, but this year I had the day off.  So, I whipped up some raspberry thumbprint cookies, made us each a cup of tea, and lent a hand in trimming the tree and decking the halls.  And we had our hang-ups, no way around that with two teenagers, but in the end we did have a wonderful time together.
