The first real snow of winter has come and quite early this year too! And not a moment too soon, because I just received this stunning Lollie Lace Floor Length Gown for a collaboration with Awesome Jade and was looking for the perfect place to photograph it when lo and behold, my very own farm was turned into the perfect winter wonderland overnight!
I can count up on one hand the number of times we had a white Christmas when I was growing up here. Although it didn't happen often it was always epic. Not to be content with just a light dusting or even a couple of inches, we had a foot/30cm of snow and ice or nothing at all.
This is our fourth Christmas back in this part of the world and we've seen not a single flake before late January in all those years until today. Now, true to form, it's been a regular deluge, and every tree and mountaintop as far as I can see is thickly blanketed in soft powdery snow.
When the snow does come, it is an absolute necessity to make time to enjoy it. And here I am, snowed in with a stunningly beautiful white lace dress, just wandering in my own winter wonderland like a snow angel. All that's missing is my wings.
Where has this beautiful Lollie Lace Floor Length dress been all my life?! With all this delicate white lace, I really did feel just like a snow angel. I love the versatility of this dress. It has elements of both Boho and classical design, so that you can style it lots of ways depending on your personality or just how you're feeling on a particular day.
This Lollie dress has a nude lining with a delicate white lace overlay and an almost corset like bodice with a fitted waist. The delicate straps are made of a stretchy elastic, and the bodice has soft bustier cups, so it wears well with a strapless bra or without a bra for a more natural boho look.
A dress this stunning calls for a little vintage elegance. One look at my hairstyle and my heels, if you could see them around the snow, and you know that I lean more toward classical and vintage styles, but I can just as easily picture this dress with a felt hat, a loose cardigan and some leather ankle boots.
This is my second collaboration with Awesome Jade (you can see the first here) and I have been so pleased with their dresses. Everything is so delicate and graceful with lots of feminine details of embroidery and lace.
I'll make it my Christmas wish that there are many more lovely snow days on the way and many more collaborations in gorgeous dresses from Awesome Jade.
