Just a quick post today with another of these now out of print Rock Steady Circus dresses. This one, of course, is in gray instead of Ivory. I purchased this dress several sizes larger and had to do some tailoring, but I think it turned out well.
I know I talk a lot about tailoring pieces to fit me, most especially when I'm looking for those out of stock styles and can only find them in a size larger than my own, but keep in mind that if possible you should try to hold out for your size.
If you just can't wait, I do understand, so my advice would be to never learn to tailor on something you really love. Buy inexpensive pieces that you maybe don't even like, so you can practice without worrying about ruining something you love and is hard to find.
Then, when you feel confident in your skills, move on to more challenging pieces and try it out with pieces you've been waiting ages to wear. A little patience and a little practice will really pay off in a big way.
