Sometimes it's a struggle to find a good pun for the titles of my blog posts. And sometimes, as with today's post, they just jump right into my lap and say Hello, Sailor!
As promised, an outfit encore and still in a mildly nautical theme too! This is week three of my ensemble challenge, for which I have not yet thought of a suitable name. Basically the challenge is to come up with a weekly outfit involving the same three colors each week: navy blue, fuschia, and ivory.
I thought it would be quite difficult, but I've found quite a few navy blue and ivory things that have been in my wardrobe for ages. And most of the fuchsia is recently purchased one day when I was having a little micro obsession with hot pink.
I'm going to level with you: this skirt, on its own is pretty boring. While I love the ivory stripe at the bottom, it can make it really hard to style with anything. So, I decided to jump ship on matching it at all and I like the results far better than anything matchy-matchy that I came up with.
I tried not to go too overboard on the fuchsia, but this outfit probably contains the most hot pink pieces with blouse, heels and pucker-up novelty bag. I think it works! And not to give anything away here, but if I were voting for my favorite in the series, the navy blue ribbon would probably go to this little outfit right here.
Feel free to sound off in the comments section and vote for your favorite. I'm posting outfits in this series every Monday for the month of August. (But, if you do vote, be nice. I have feelings.)
